Five graduating students were recognized with the Class of 2025 Awards for their academic excellence and exemplary leadership at the 14th annual graduation ceremony.
"The Class of 2025 has demonstrated exceptional dedication throughout their academic journey, not only excelling in their studies but also shaping the future of their disciplines through leadership and initiative," said Marwan M. Kraidy, dean and CEO of Northwestern Qatar. "These award recipients have set a high standard of excellence, embodying the spirit of our institution. Their accomplishments reflect their hard work and their commitment to making a meaningful impact in the world."
The recipients of the Class of 2025 Awards were:
- Dean's Award: Vaamika Shrivastava, a Communication major with minors in Film and Design and Strategic Communication. Vaamika earned Dean's Scholastic Highest Honors for her exceptional academic achievements.
- Communication Program Award: Jingjie Wang, a Communication major with minors in Artificial Intelligence and Media and Media and Politics. Jingjie also received Dean's Scholastic High Honors.
- Journalism and Strategic Communication Program Award: Sofia Didinova, a Journalism and Strategic Communication major, who also received Dean's Scholastic Highest Honors.
- Liberal Arts Program Award: Uwonkunda Sylvie Dushime, a Communication major with a minor in Africana Studies. Uwonkunda also earned Dean's Scholastic Honors.
- Student Leadership Award: Taniya Tleubayeva, a Communication major with a Film and Design minor, who also received Dean's Scholastic Highest Honors.
Each year, Northwestern Qatar recognizes graduating seniors for academic excellence and leadership skills. The class awards are announced by the dean, academic program directors, and student experience.
