NU-Q students, faculty, staff

NU-Q students, staff, and faculty are automatically members of the NU-Q Library.

NU-Q alumni

Library use and borrowing privileges are available to NU-Q alumni and they are eligible for a library card upon graduation. The card is renewable on a yearly basis.

Borrower's cards do not grant patrons access to NU Library's online databases, which require the use of a NetID. Interlibrary loans are not available to alumni.

Family members of NU-Q employees

Spouses and children over the age of 15 of NU-Q faculty or staff may obtain a borrower's card, valid for up to one year.

Borrower's cards do not grant patrons access to NU Library's online databases, which require the use of a NetID. Interlibrary loans are not available to family borrowers.

Eligibility and terms

  1. Members must be 15 years of age or older.
  2. You may borrow up to 10 books for a loan period of 30 days, 10 videorecordings for a period of 10 days, and 10 magazines for a period of 10 days.
  3. Book and video loans may be renewed once online, by phone or in person if no-one else has reserved the item or the item is not overdue.

Walk-in access

Walk-in access to our library and onsite use of electronic databases is permitted for non-profit/educational use. Note that database articles must be printed prior to logging off, as they cannot be emailed or saved to the desktop for future use.

Any library guest can request a free temporary NetID (or "day pass") for use on the premises that will grant access to digital resources, but we are unable to provide permanent or remote access to online resources.
