Our History and the Future: Lessons in Public and Participatory History from the SWANA Region

The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH), the Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies, Qatar National Library, and #IAS_NUQ will host a joint closed workshop, bringing together scholars, archivists, artists, journalists, and cultural practitioners working across the SWANA region.

The workshop will explore how history can be made more public, participatory, and accessible, with particular attention to the methods and ethics of collaborative history-making. Through discussions spanning local, transnational, and digital contexts, participants will consider different approaches to engaging communities, preserving and interpreting the past, and creating more inclusive forms of historical knowledge.
