Syed Mehdi is manager of technology and operations at The Media Majlis Museum, where he leads the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of all technical and operational systems that support the museum’s exhibitions. With a keen focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies and optimizing infrastructure, Syed plays a central role in delivering complex capital projects, managing audiovisual and digital media systems, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across the museum’s spaces.
Prior to joining Northwestern Qatar, Syed served as a data analyst with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, contributing to the successful execution of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He developed scalable digital solutions, coordinated large-scale accommodation logistics, and produced real-time operational dashboards that informed executive decision-making. Earlier in his career, he worked as a research assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, contributing to projects in natural language processing.
Syed holds a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Carnegie Mellon University and is currently pursuing a master’s in information systems with a specialization in artificial intelligence at Northwestern University. His cross-disciplinary experience spans data analytics, project management, exhibition technology, and digital infrastructure, making him a key player in advancing the museum’s mission through innovation and operational excellence.
