About

Michael McDonough is an emergency management professional with over 30 years of experience leading and developing teams in safety, emergency response and crisis management. McDonough joins NU-Q following almost five years with the Qatar Foundation as Director of Emergency Response & Business Continuity and was responsible for the strategic direction in developing safe systems through construction, handover and operation of many large-scale projects.

Prior to joining QF he built and developed an Emergency Service at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.

McDonough is originally from the UK where he had extensive experience working with a leading Fire and Rescue Service. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in training & education at the University of Huddersfield.
