Me in a Nutshell

I am a kinesthetic learner, an easy-going person and highly inquisitive.

How you think your major/study will help you reach your future career/life goals?

As a kinesthetic learner and a highly inquisitive individual, my decision on pursuing journalism stems from my own vision of not just informing but also enabling the informed to cause a change in the society. I strongly believe in the power of education and I believe that as a journalist, I save myself a boundless platform to get people informed and educated on issues spanning across all sectors for the betterment of our multicultural world.  The field of journalism also fulfils my aspiration of advancing the African media.

Who are your favorite professor(s) at Northwestern Qatar and why?

My favorite Professor in NUQ is Professor Marcela Pizarro of the Journalism and Strategic Communication department. She been been a true inspiration to me. Her strong work ethics, especially her sense of duty is really wonderful. She always brings the very best out of her students, encouraging and building us to be the most engaged versions of ourselves.

What is your favorite class you’ve taken at Northwestern Qatar?

My favorite class so far is MIT 190 Media Construction. The class had a very small size and therefore enhanced interaction. It was a very practical class and even despite taking it on zoom, instructions were well communicated.
