About

Victoria Ng’eno is the public services librarian for the Northwestern University in Qatar Library. Victoria supports the Library’s public service mission by designing and delivering information literacy instruction that engages and empowers students and faculty in fulfilling their education and research goals. She contributes to the success of the NU-Q Library by selecting and acquiring materials in the communication and journalism and strategic communication disciplines while serving as the library liaison to those programs.  

Victoria’s research activities have included active learning initiatives for first-year students, including a presentation at the First Year Experience Conference on designing fast and fun orientation activities.  She is a member of the American Library Association and the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals.  Victoria’s professional interests include information literacy, access services, collection development, and community advocacy in underserved communities. 

Victoria received her master of arts in library and information studies as well as a post-graduate diploma in academic research methods from University College London. She also holds a graduate diploma in management of information systems from the University of Greenwich. 

Before joining the NU-Q Library Victoria worked in records management, sales and marketing, office and event management and IT support in various organizations in Qatar and Kenya.
