Nissryne Dib is an assistant professor in residence in the Communication program. She received her MFA in Film Production from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her BS in Communication from Northwestern University in Qatar (NUQ) Class of 2015.

Nissryne is a Director of Photography who lives and works in Doha and Los Angeles. Her research interests include the use of available lighting and the preservation of skin tones in the digital workflow process as well as defining the female gaze in cinematography. 

Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in advertising, casting, film production, and marketing in Qatar, Canada, and the United States. Her clients have included Qatar Airways, Qatar Foundation, UCLA Anderson School of Business, and many more.

She is the mentee of Jim Jarmusch and is currently working on the pre-production of two Qatar-based feature films as a Director of Photography.
