Safa Arshad joined NU-Q at the beginning of 2017 having been outreach officer at Msheireb Museums working with diverse audiences and target groups, and prior to that as community outreach coordinator at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. During her studies she completed internships at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, in Doha, and with exhibition and cultural consultancy firm Barker Langham in London. 

She holds a Master of Arts in Museum and Gallery Practice, University College London, Qatar, graduating with a dissertation on the intangible forms of Sufi rituals practiced by devotees at the iconic shrines of Lahore. Arshad also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in foreign service, culture and politics from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Qatar, and is bilingual (English-Urdu).
