Students present research on deadly driving

March 19, 2015

Ibrahim AlHashmi and Mohammed Buhmaid, NU-Q communication seniors, presented the paper “Changing the Deadly Driving Behaviors of Arab Men” at the 7th International Conference on Health Issues in Arab Communities.

As members of the Qatari community who have witnessed too many young lives lost, they and the rest of the project team have a deep commitment to this issue. The conference was held in Oman from March 1 to 7, 2015.

The project was started by Shaikha Al-Naimi and Rouda Al-Meghaiseeb in Professor Susan Dun’s health communication class, and the team grew to include AlHashmi and Buhmaid, as well as student Syed Owais Ali. This project is funded by a one-year QNRF UREP grant.
