Christopher Monaghan is a collection management, cultural heritage, and digital specialist. His broad experience combines registrarial, lecturing, and research roles including the Ashmolean Museum, The British School of Archaeology at Athens, and University College London.

He joins NU-Q from Msheireb Museums, a grouping of heritage houses in the heart of Doha exploring the history of Qatar through unique and controversial subject matters, where he held registration and curatorial roles. Prior positions in Qatar include collections coordination at the Museum of Islamic Art and other Qatar Museums projects. Monaghan holds an MA from the University of Oxford in classics and has studied Arabic fitfully.
