Sonia Hussain

Sonia Hussain is a higher education professional supporting student success from the NU-Q Evanston Student Support office.

With interests in quantitative research and an experience of applying quantitative research methods in central administration, academic, and student affairs, Sonia’s work has focused on student support in developmental education and higher education.

Prior to joining Northwestern Qatar, she worked in support programs and developmental education in higher education. She focused on increasing retention/graduation rates of students pursuing STEM, with a specific focus on marginalized student populations.

Hussain received her Bachelor of Arts with honors from Northeastern Illinois University and her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University.
