Eric Espig is an award-winning creative technologist who works across journalism and communication as the digital specialist managing the Northwestern Qatar Media Innovation Lab. His expertise lies in interactive storytelling through mixed reality, VR, and interactive installations. His innovative work includes extensive projects for museum exhibitions and art galleries. He has provided creative and technical direction for exhibitions that have been installed and exhibited at the Canadian Museum of History, Royal BC Museum, VGA Gallery, and Canadian War Museum. 
Eric was recently awarded a MacArthur Foundation grant to complete and exhibit Frame Switch, a "journalism empathy" tool and VR game that launched in 2020.
