Alden Cormany has a diverse background as a former member of the United States Marine Corps, going on to pursue a career in museums and cultural studies. Alden holds a Masters in Museum Studies, with an emphasis on artefacts and material culture, from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, graduating with a dissertation on the digital presentation of objects within the University of Glasgow Library’s 50th Anniversary exhibition. She holds a BA in Comparative Cultural Studies, during which she also worked within art museums and galleries.

Most recently she has done work with a number of museums in the Washington D.C. area including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Folger Shakespeare Library and Glenstone (contemporary art museum).
