Services Available

Library

All regular Library services are available. Students can access the Library as normal. If you have any questions or need further information or support, please contact the Library directly at library@qatar.northwestern.edu.

Hours 

8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday - Wednesday  
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday 
Closed - Friday - Saturday 

Production Facilities and Equipment

Video editing suites, audio editing suites, and sound recording rooms are available for reservation from 7:00 a.m. to 2 a.m. (Sunday-Saturday). Students must use WebCheckout to reserve these facilities and for equipment check-out and drop-off. NU-Q Production Facilities can be reserved with 1hr notice on WebCheckout. Appropriate cleaning supplies will be provided for cleaning before and after the use of the equipment.   

Studios Reservations are available for reservation from 7:00 a.m. to 2 a.m. (Sunday-Saturday). Reservations can be made by emailing production@qatar.northwestern.edu    

Equipment reservations should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. The equipment cage operation hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Sunday – Thursday)  

Production Support  

Students should contact the production team at production@qatar.northwestern.edu  for any production-related issues, questions, and support.  

Computer Labs

Computer lab hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. (Sunday - Saturday) on a first-come-first-serve basis when scheduled courses are not in session. Scheduled courses have priority for computer lab use and visitors are asked to vacate the lab promptly for a course session. 

Appropriate cleaning supplies will be provided for cleaning the equipment before and after use. 

Study Rooms

Students may place a reservation through WebCheckout to use a study room. Study rooms may also be accessed on a first-come-first-serve basis if the study room is under room occupancy limits; however, students with reservations will have priority for the study room. There is a four-hour limit on each reservation. 

Information Technology Support

Students should contact NU-Q Help Desk at helpdesk@qatar.northwestern.edu for any information technology issues, questions, and support.

 

Student Records

Students should contact Students Records at studentrecords@qatar.northwestern.edu to make appointments, 24-hour notice is necessary for in-person appointments.
