International Students
Northwestern University in Qatar welcomes students from around the country, the region and the world – from Pakistan to Canada.
From the time of acceptance to the University until graduation, NU-Q Student Affairs and our Education City partners offer a supportive environment that helps international students transition to living and studying in Qatar.
International Student Services
During their time at NU-Q, students who permanently reside outside of Qatar qualify to have their visa sponsored by Qatar Foundation. These students will work closely with our International Student Services liaison for a multitude of issues during their undergraduate career. International Student Services assists with:
- Entry and student residence visas
- Exit permits to leave the country
- Housing application processes
- Applications for government and health ID cards
- Other issues related to living in Qatar
International Student Orientation
International students must attend a mandatory orientation upon their arrival in Qatar before the start of classes. Education City’s International Student Orientation will lead you through the process on sponsorship, establishing residency in Qatar, as well as getting used to the everyday life in Doha.
