Jennifer Koons
Jennifer Koons, MS, is a lecturer in the journalism program at Northwestern University in Qatar. Koons previously covered foreign policy, politics and legal issues as a Washington, D.C.-based journalist. She has covered the U.S. Supreme Court, the 2008 and 2004 presidential campaigns and congressional action on Capitol Hill. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, San Diego Union Tribune and ForeignPolicy.com, among other publications. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and a master’s degree in law from Northwestern School of Law. She was the McCormick Journalism Fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press where she was managing editor of that organization's journal, The News Media and the Law. At NU-Q Koons led a 2010 student reporting trip to New Orleans.
